Let’s Read It Again
I taught preschool for a bit, several years ago. For story time, I would let the children take turns picking books. It seemed like there was this group of elite books, that would get picked over, and over. Duck, Duck, Moose, by Joy Heyer, would have been in that elite group.
Goose left Duck alone for the Winter. Duck was so sad. Who would be able to play with him?! First, he runs into Pig, who says, “Want to play a game of Duck, Duck, Pig?” Duck gives it a try, but he doesn’t like playing in mud. This is when the fun rhyme of this wonderful book comes into play. “Ooey, Gooey, Icky, Sticky, Quack, Quack, Quack - I can’t wait ‘till goose gets back.” One by one, Duck tried to play with each animal, but no one suits him like Goose. Fish plays under water, the snakes get him all tangled up, and you can imagine what happens to porcupine. You will have to get this book and find out who Duck gets to play with!
This Pink Umbrella book releases March 20, but you can pre order it on Amazon today!!
