I always say, "she's crazy," about my daughter. Am I really saying she's crazy? No! I'm saying she is so much fun! Her imagination is uncontainable. I buy into every wacky, eccentric performance she puts on. Author Peter H. Reynolds sounds like he would cosign my encouraging of creativity. In the back of Happy Dreamer it says, "I'm a dreamer. Always have been. Not all grown-ups were happy with my dreaming - my zig zaggy brain - but I was lucky some were. And my parents, well, they let me be me - loved me - and things worked out pretty well."
This book goes through all of the ways kids feel and dream. It talks about being loud and quiet. How if you want to be loud, you can do it in your mind. You can dream during the day and at night. The little boy doesn't want to be put in a box, or stifled. There are these flaps you can open to show all the types of dreamers. This book is how I want my child to feel, happy and excited about dreaming.
